Our volunteers are key components to running our programs successfully. The commitment of their time and talents are invaluable. We welcome anyone interested in assisting in areas of administration, coaching or supervising. We also support student volunteers to complete their community service hours.
In general, volunteers are responsible for:

Working with children aged nine and older

Assisting staff with creating and executing training programs

Helping with fundraising activities and public relations to improve programs

Working with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:

Must be at least 14-years-old

Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check if you are above the age of 18
Assets:

Prior sports experience

Standard First Aid & CPR Certificate

Due to the focus and nature of our program as being dedicated to the empowerment of girls, our volunteer positions are only open to young women. Other applicants may reach out to us here to see how else you may get involved.

Our intake of volunteers is continuous and that more than one position can be applied to at a time.
Volunteer opportunities
Coaches/Assistant Coaches
In the position of Coach, you should be at least level 1 trained in Basketball and/or Volleyball. Coaches and Assistant Coaches will be training, assessing, planning and helping youth in basketball and/or volleyball development.
Tournaments Committee Volunteer
In this position you would be helping with the planning, running and organizing of any NextGen Sportz tournaments, you may also have to fill roles that are needed and assist the Tournament Coordinator.

Photography/Videography Volunteer
In this position you will work on maintaining and growing our social media platforms.
SPIKES & Evolution Program Volunteer
In this position you would be helping with setup and take down of sports equipment if needed and helping the coaches/assistant coaches/staff with drills, games, and in house tournaments.
Administrative Support
In this position you will assists our organization with filing, data input, printing, putting together information packages, etc. It would require a detail oriented person, someone who likes being in front of a computer or in an office.
Fundraising Committee Volunteer
In this position you would be helping our organization with brainstorming and promoting fundraising events, through social media, school, workshops, etc. This role is great for a person who is high energy, knows a lot of people, has great connections or is willing to make them.
Event Volunteer
In this position, you would be assisting for a one day commitment for our fundraising or tournament events.
